Terms and Conditions

Last updated May 13, 2026

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using LogKit (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users of LogKit.

About the App

LogKit is a personal tracking application that allows you to define, organize, and log data over time. The App is designed as a local-first tool — all data you create stays on your device. LogKit is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or monitor any health condition.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use LogKit. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

Purchases & Subscriptions

LogKit offers a Pro tier available as a monthly subscription, annual subscription, or lifetime purchase ("LogKit Pro"). All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms.

Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings
  • No refunds are issued for unused portions of an active subscription period

Lifetime Purchase

  • A lifetime purchase grants you access to LogKit Pro features for the lifetime of the App
  • In the event that LogKit is discontinued, no refund or compensation is guaranteed for lifetime purchases
  • "Lifetime" refers to the life of the App, not the life of the user

General

  • We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect your current billing period
  • All billing disputes should be directed to Apple as we do not have access to your payment information

Third-Party Integrations

LogKit integrates with Apple frameworks including HealthKit and the Screen Time API. Use of these integrations is subject to your permission settings on your device. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of data provided by these frameworks.

LogKit uses PostHog for anonymized analytics. Use of the App constitutes acceptance of PostHog's data practices as described in our Privacy Policy.

Your Data

All data you create in LogKit is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your log entries, tracking history, or any content you record in the App.

  • You are solely responsible for maintaining and backing up your data
  • Deleting the App will permanently delete all local data. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from App deletion, device loss, or device failure
  • iCloud backup of your LogKit data is subject to Apple's iCloud terms
  • Data exported via LogKit Pro is your responsibility once it leaves the App. We are not liable for loss or misuse of exported files

Intellectual Property

LogKit and all of its content, features, design, and functionality — including but not limited to its name, logo, themes, and code — are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer any part of the App without our express written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

LogKit is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

LogKit is not a medical device. Any health or fitness data displayed in the App should not be used as the basis for medical decisions. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use LogKit, including but not limited to data loss, loss of profits, or reliance on data displayed in the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of LogKit shall not exceed the amount you paid for LogKit Pro in the twelve months prior to the claim, or $10, whichever is greater.

Changes

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. For significant changes we will notify you within the App.

Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue the App or restrict your access to it at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Since all data is stored locally, your data will remain on your device unless you delete the App.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of New Jersey.
